Imagine how much time you could save if you had all the tools normally found in a farm shop available right in the field when your equipment needed service. For one new owner of a Thunder Creek Equipment diesel fuel and service trailer, this is now reality.
When a large row crop grower in South Dakota needed a field service solution he turned to the design team at Thunder Creek Equipment. Together, they developed a trailer that would transport all the fluids and tools needed for his operation.
In the end, Thunder Creek Equipment designed a 5th wheel trailer with six separate fluid tanks and eight service compartments. The final trailer configuration included:
- 990 gallon diesel fuel tank and 40 GPM pumping system
- 100 gallon diesel exhaust fluid tank and non-corrosive pump
- 60 gallon antifreeze tank with dual-acting diaphragm pump
- 60 gallon engine oil tank and pumping system
- 60 gallon hydraulic oil tank and pump
- 60 gallon used oil reclamation tank, dual-acting diaphragm “trash” pump, and 4-way valve
- Welder, generator, air compressor, and torch
- Three tool cabinets and space large tools
- A work bench, vice, and hand-operated hoist
This spring, the grower’s operation will run more productively with the ability to bring his shop to the fields. Learn more about this project in the following video:
